Naglabas ng official statement ang Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) kaugnay ng ilang reklamo na pinagkakagat sila ng surot sa airport terminals.
Kinumpirma ng pamunuan ng NAIA na may mga reklamo nga silang natanggap, at humingi ito ng paumanhin sa mga complainants..
Nangako silang iimbestigahan nila ang pangyayari.

MIAA HAS OFFICIAL STATEMENT ON SUROT ISSUE AT NAIA TERMINALS
Sa pamamagitan ng Facebook, inilabas ng MIAA ang full statement nito ngayong Miyerkules ng gabi, February 28, 2024.
“Reports have reached the Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) about social media posts of certain people who claim to have been bitten by bed bugs in Naia Terminals 2 and 3,” bungad ng FB post.
Paniniyak ng pamunuan na bukod sa imbestigasyon ay reremedyuhan nila ang problema.

“MIAA General Manager Eric Ines immediately ordered the Terminal Managers to look into the matter and provide him with a report within 24 hours stating the circumstances surrounding the incidents and their recommended corrective actions to put an end to this problem.
“Directive was also given for the conduct of comprehensive facility inspections and enhanced sanitation measures.”
“The MIAA apologizes to the victims and assures them that a speedy resolution to this can be expected.
“Following an investigation, it was confirmed that our terminals received these complaints and that two of those who were bitten sought and were given medical assistance by our MIAA medical teams.
“The seats identified in the reports have been pulled out permanently while disinfection schedules shall continue to be undertaken.”
