Some nations wage military offensives, while The Whoopi Goldberg War Room needs but one word to decimate a foe.
Years after shutting down a hilarious rant from former cohost Meghan McCain with a simple delivery of the word “okay,” the Oscar-winning actress charged her vocabulary and took aim at another political target on Monday’s episode of The View: Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley.
The talk show returned from a commercial break to break down Haley’s insistence on remaining in the presidential race after suffering yet another primary defeat against Donald Trump in her home state of South Carolina, with the politician telling supporters — in a video from a campaign rally played on The View — that she’s “grateful that today is not the end of our story.”
The camera then cut back to Goldberg in the studio (which you can watch in the video above) as she looked back and forth, communicating stern judgment as she held her hands together before taking Haley down with a single utterance: “Okay.”
Though Goldberg’s cohosts continued to pick Haley apart with analysis and facts (but not science, Sara Haines’ new favorite tool for verbal shutdowns), nothing came close to destructing Haley’s stance the way Goldberg’s word choice did.
Earlier this month, when asked by Fox News’ America Reports crew about The View‘s apparent anti-Haley sentiment concerning her accomplishments, the 52-year-old slammed the show — and Goldberg, in particular.
“I’ve done quite a bit,” Haley said. “I will tell you, as governor, we accomplished a lot, as U.N. ambassador, we accomplished a lot. I did a whole lot more than Whoopi Goldberg will ever do, and it is not the ladies on The View that I ever care to impress.”
The View airs weekdays at 11 a.m. ET on ABC. Watch Goldberg deliver a new “okay” in the video above.
