GMA-7 actress Kyline Alcantara is setting the tone for a fresh style direction in 2024.
As seen on her latest OOTDs on Instagram, the Kapuso actress has been adopting a bolder approach when it comes to fashion.
One in particular is her figure-hugging bronze halter dress at the grand opening of Corso Como 88’s new boutique in One Ayala, Makati City, on January 15, 2023.
Kyline elevates her ensemble with YSL’s chic D’orsay Pumps In Black patent leather, featuring tassel accents, and a Prada Black Nylon Eclipse Tessuto clutch.
The YSL pumps are valued at USD1,195 or approximately PHP66,994.69 on Modesens, while the Prada clutch is estimated to be around EUR 2,400 or approximately PHP 146,083.54 on Sotheby’s.
KYLINE ALCANTARA: BOLDER FASHION CHOICES
When asked about the changes in her fashion choices, Kyline says this is one of her ways to becoming a more “mature” actress, but sheclarifies that her OOTDs are “classy pa rin.”
She tells PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) in an exclusive interview, “Well, first of all, it’s 2024 like what you said.
“We have to level up our fashion game every single year.
“And, I guess it’s time to, in a way, mature when it comes to how I style myself.
“More form-fitting, but classy pa rin.”
Kyline finds inspiration in Gen Z style icons, such as Kylie Jenner, Zendaya, and Kaia Gerber, along with the Kardashians.
She admires their ability to tastefully reveal skin while upholding a sense of sophistication in their fashion choices.
She says, “Inspiration ko naman ever since si Kaia Gerber, Kendall Jenner, Kylie Jenner, mga Kardashian, ganyan, and Zendaya.
“Yes, yun talaga.

“So, showing a little bit of skin but still in a classy way. Kailangan classy pa din every single time.”
Like many celebrities, Kyline relies on her trusted stylists Melville Sy, Shark Tanael, Maita Baello, and Patrick Pleno from Studio.24C, and gives them the freedom to fully express their creativity when putting together her outfits.
Kyline also provides input on her OOTDs, maintaining a collaborative approach to her fashion choices.
“Ako kasi, hinahayaan ko din silang ilabas yung creativity nila.
“But I’m so happy that they ask for my permission every single time.
“Pero hindi ako yung parang, ‘That’s what I want… That’s what I want…’
“Hindi ako ganun, and ako, hinahayaan ko lang sila.
“Tapos ako, ‘Oh, I like it!’ Hanggang ganun lang.”
KYLINE ALCANTARA: SHINING INHERITANCE
Will we be seeing more of this style in her upcoming GMA-7 remake of the K-drama series Shining Inheritance?
Kyline confirms, “Yes!”
She adds, “This plus sabunot plus sampal and all that jazz. Mas mataray and madami!”
Kyline is set to make her kontrabida comeback in the upcoming series, taking on the role of Aimee, previously portrayed by Moon Chae-Won.
The actress reveals that both she and her stylists put in extra effort to meticulously prepare the OOTDs for her scenes in the series.
She says, “Every single taping, po. I really work and collab with my stylists.”
