Pumalag ang Miss Universe Organization (MUO) sa akusasyon ng panloloko at manipulasyon sa resulta ng pageant.
Ito ay kaugnay sa kumalat na video na kuha diumano sa meeting nina Anne Jakkaphong Jakrajutatip, a.k.a. Anne JKN, may-ari ng MUO, at Mexican businessman at MUO shareholder na si Raul Rocha Cantu.

Bukod sa dalawang nabanggit ay may pito pang tao na kasama sa meeting.
Kung pagbabasehan ang audio ng video ay maririnig si Anne na nagpahayag ng salitang, “They can compete but they cannot win.”

Social inclusion at female empowerment ang sinabing motibo ng MUO kung bakit nila binago ang rules ng 72-year-old pageant.
Sa pahayag ni Anne base sa kumalat na video ay lumalabas na bagamat papayagang sumali ang mga ito ay hindi rin sila mananalo at sa una pa lang ay wala na silang tsansa.
Dahil dito ay nabahiran ng duda at namantsahan ang kredebilidad ng Miss Universe pageant sa paningin ng publiko.

Sa statement ng MUO ay sinabi nitong paninira lamang ang video na lumabas at manipulado ito para palabasin na masama ang mga nasa likod ng organisasyon.

Ani ng statement, “The Miss Universe Organization has worked tirelessly to promote inclusion, transparency, and integrity, and we will not be swayed by unfounded allegations.”
Sinabi rin sa pahayag na nananatiling tapat ang MUO sa naisin nito na gawing bukas ang patimpalak sa lahat ng nais lumahok, at handa itong maghain ng reklamo sa korte sa mga magtatangkang siraan ang organisasyon.
